White-label troubleshooting for an MSP customer

How we support an MSP whose customer has a persistent Wi-Fi problem, without the MSP losing ownership of the relationship.

This is a representative example of a common engagement, describing our approach. It is not an account of a named client project.

The typical problem

An MSP’s customer has intermittent Wi-Fi dropouts. Firmware has been updated and access points have been rebooted and replaced, but the problem keeps returning. The MSP’s engineers have spent many hours on it, and the customer relationship is under strain.

How we approach it

  • Agree the problem definition with the MSP: affected areas, times, devices and applications.
  • Attend site as part of the MSP’s team, carrying out an RF survey, spectrum analysis and over-the-air packet captures in affected areas.
  • Review the wireless configuration and logs alongside the MSP’s engineers.
  • Identify the root cause, whether RF, configuration, client behaviour or something upstream, with evidence.
  • Produce findings and recommendations in the MSP’s own report template.

What the partner receives

A clear root cause, a fix the MSP can implement or that we can support, and a report delivered under the MSP’s brand. The customer relationship stays with the MSP throughout.

Measured. Designed. Validated.
